I’m sure we’ve all had that “Patient Zero” game: the game that, despite us genuinely liking it, unfortunately might’ve helped heavily spread an industry trend you may not like as much.
I’ll start: as much as I love God of War (2005), it always confused me how much it seemingly led to the rise of poorly implemented Quick Time events in action games. I thought GoW did them pretty well, but so many other games did them poorly that QTE’s in general became stigmatized and made GoW guilty by association.
How about y’all?
