I am a Solutions Engineer in the tech industry. I have wanted to be in this field since I was a child and have spent years of my life working hard for this very moment. I passed the first 3 interviews with flying colors and now is the final panel interview with the director and a few others.

My task is to demo their product to the Director. She does not ask a single thing about me and or care to even get to know me. We jump right into the demo and soon as she joins the call.

about 10 minutes into my demo, she opens a salad and starts munching down on food as if it is her lunchtime. Keep in mind, this is a FINAL PANEL INTERVIEW for a big role here. After 5 more minutes of her eating loudly, she starts being so rude to me…I had enough

“I want to pause and just end our interview right now, I appreciate the time but I have never been shown this lack of respect on a real demo or an interview.”…

The room went SILENT! I logged off and left. Life is WAY to short to deal with assholes or have people not show you decent courtesy. No Job is worth it

OP is so fucking pathetic lol this HAS to be fake. I’ve watched my coworkers get suck in meetings until 3 and eat on camera, sometimes life is like that. What if their blood sugar was at risk or literally anything else.

OP overestimates their impact and place in other people’s lives.

It’s also like “omg omg why must I have a reason to work here uhhh I want money dumbass”. Yeah, so does EVERYONE ELSE. You need more than that if you dont want to fuck yourself over before you even start.

I’d have turned off my camera personally but then with this loser:s attitude its “omg director is so shit garbage asshole mean to me because omg no camera omg omg I’m so special”
