I am reading about russia sending badly injured soldiers to participate in meat waves, and donkeys in place of motorized vehicles. On the other hand, reputable journalists and analysts talk about it being impossible for Ukraine to win this war by pushing russia out; they take it as a given that there will have to be a negotiated settlement.
These seem contradictory. Are the donkeys and soldiers on crutches aberrations?
