Very much appreciate the publically available CAD models for the expansion cards and framework laptop. They made this process a lot easier!

I didn’t like how the original ethernet expansion card design was thicker than the others and so it both protrudes from the bottom of the laptop chassis and makes it incompatible with the aftermarket cases for the mainboard :(

Hence this design was born. It reuses the top shell from the expansion card but is a redesigned bottom shell that makes this card the same thickness as the others. I do not personally own a FW laptop and will only be using this with the desktop case but I’d love to see how it holds up with more cycles in the wild! The design feels pretty robust to me :)
