I’ve been thinking about making a home assistant server, I currently use Alexa and some smart switches. I plan on running cat6 in the new(not new) house. So, all you experts what would you do differently if you could start over, or from scratch?

The plan was to get it setup for networking, surveillance cameras, home server, and home assistant. Wondering what I should watch out for or any lessons learned. Thanks.
