The Arms for my E500 Thermaltake Cyberchair were recently lost during a move. Upon trying to purchase replacement arms, I was told by Thermaltake support that “We don’t have parts purchasing available”, and upon requesting an escalation, was told “We cannot pull parts from a brand-new unit in order to sell, that would make the entire unit a loss. Additionally, even if we could, we do not have the means to charge you for parts. Regardless of your lost parts, we are not obligated to sell additional parts, as no manufacturer is obligated too. I will not be escalating this as it will just be re-iterated, this is not a policy we can make an exception too.” This is rediculous, as every other major chair seller provides replacement parts for sale (Secretlabs, Noblechairs, etc). I now have a 600 dollar chair with no arms!

Update: Thermaltake responded: “If something is defective, we will do what is needed to help the situation. This is different from selling parts, which again, we are in no way obligated to do. Your chair is not defective. YOU lost the parts. With all due respect, that is your issue. Once again, this will not be escalated, the parts sales policy is not something we can get around.”
