While I have been really enjoying my Pro 11, an annoyance I have is Microsoft artificially limiting what apps I can download from the Store based on my CPU architecture. Microsoft touted at release their new emulation layer and increased compatibility. However, they restrict access to many non-native games within the store. An example screenshot here is of Age of Empires II Definitive Edition, a first party Microsoft title. This applies to many PC Game Pass titles.

Before you yell at me that I should not have bought the Pro 11 for gaming, I didn’t. The Pro 11 is a great work device that I use every day. However, it is also capable of some casual gaming for many non-native titles that I can install via Steam. So, it makes no sense that Microsoft blocks titles based on CPU architecture when they spent so much time at launch explaining how they fixed this.

Also, the title runs if you believe worksonwoa.com (Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition | Windows on Arm Ready Games (worksonwoa.com))
