I don’t buy much if any digital media because you don’t ultimately own it. But the few things I have bought I haven’t had any issues with it until yesterday.

Two years ago I bought a compilation “season” of Daffy Duck Looney Tunes cartoons on Amazon Prime Video which included the 1950s short Duck Dodgers in the 24½th Century. I watched that episode two years ago so I know for certain it was there. So yesterday when I go to rewatch the episode it’s been replaced by Duck Dodgers and the Return of the 24½th Century from the 1980s (this particular cartoon was not originally part of the compilation). The image and description are still for the 50s cartoon but it’s been totally replaced by Warner!

I went to YouTube to see and apparently even their own upload of the cartoon cuts off half way through the episode (basically before Daffy Duck and Marvin the Martian start shooting each other). So I’m assuming my purchase was replaced because of violence(?).

I mean it’s one thing to remove the episode completely or to edit it but to silently replace it with an entirely different albeit similar episode is wild!
