Hi! I’m as a pretty fresh owner of FW13 AMD (from May) really happy for having this kind of laptop. Beside few issues, it works perfectly. It’s powerful, quiet most of the time and very portable.

But as a member of FW community, I have some sort of wishlist, that would be really great to have. Or at least, discuss.

Monitor enclosure

I’m a linux user, and I do struggle by fractional scaling like a lot. With new 2.8k display, I believe many users would like to upgrade, but there will always be a spare display after that. It would be really great, like for motherboard, to have an official enclosure with needed display adapter to transform it into a portable monitor.

13 Motherboard with 2 SSD slots

As a linux user, I unfortunately have to dualboot for some applications and games. It’s not a critical issue, one SSD works fine, but more like a wish it’d be great to have them physically separated. Hope sometime in future with LPCAMM2 for example, there will be space for the spare slot.

Official magsafe expansion card

Literally last week, I’ve made a post about sharing users type-c magnetic adapters. Could not imagine that this would lead to me getting rid of them completely. But there is always a hope! I know there are legal complications with this, but maybe, just maybe, it will be possible someday. Safe and official.
