My folks want to go completely off the radar, issue is, my mother doesn’t want to do everything that entails. She wants to raise animals and grow crops while also having solar and generator power. But, here’s the problem…the animals she wants have very long gestation times, or are things that you can’t exactly survive off of without something else. Meaning the crops (that can’t be planted till next year) are all she has to eat. I’ve suggested hunting. There plenty of game (small medium and large) but the list of things she’ll eat …deer, rabbit, fowl. Again, rabbit is something you can’t exactly eat on its own, and without everything being set up there’s no point in getting a deer because a vast amount of the meat will go to waste. Dad and I are the only help she’s got, and the only reason I’m around is because she is medically unable to lift anything heavier than a milk jug. So, what things could I hunt and try and get her to eat so she doesn’t starve on rabbit? (Ps, she can’t eat processed meat, genetic liver disease)
