I’ve been using the free version of Proton VPN whenever I need a basic way to get past a location blocker. This doesn’t seem to work with ESPN+ though for some reason. Not sure if I need to setup the proton VPN differently or not, but it seems to be functioning right for other stuff. Since i also cant torrent anything with the free version I’m assuming that whatever I need for it to work right with espn is only in the paid version.

Because of this and the inability to torrent anything, I’ve been thinking of paying for one. Does anyone have any suggestions? I’m used to proton now but obviously function and reliability takes priority of UI. Since it will be primarily used to get past location blocked tv and sports, I don’t really want to spend what I would be spending on just a premium plan of the streaming platform, but also still want the ability to torrent.

I’m new to this but do the paid plans also include a way to use it on your phone? Using it for espn, etc is great if I’m at my computer but I’d still like to be able to use it on my phone (abdroid) too.

Anyone have any input or suggestions?
