While in Seoul this last week I had the chance to visit the Genshin Impact Cafe.

Wide shot of the Genshin Impact Cafe building

Building With closeup, there is a coffee shop collab going on so there is a lot of Wanderer themed Cafe stuff

Reservations

I went on the weekend, so I needed a reservation to get in (I saw conflicting information about whether you needed a reservation during the week, but I didn’t visit then so I cannot confirm either way). Getting a reservation required a verified Naver account (I think there was a way to get it with Line too, but again, I didn’t try that). As a foreigner, getting a verified account required me to sign up with Naver and then message them a copy of my passport. This process was a little finicky. My wife tried first, but the name she signed up for on Naver didn’t exactly match her passport (we’re from the US so three names, and for Naver that meant my first and middle got mixed together in the given name field), so she was denied. I tried next, knowing what happened to her, and was verified after about a day. After that I was able to find the reservation system on Naver and book a time slot. This took a little work to figure out, since I don’t speak korean, but we got it sorted. If you are booking for two people keep in mind that there are different bookings for one or two people. This initially tripped me up because you cannot book two of them (one per ID), so to book two people you need to book one two person table.

Cafe

I went at 10:00(AM) on a Saturday, and it wasn’t super busy, but it also wasn’t deserted. A brief wait in line to get in, and a very short wait for food. They have a lot of Sumeru and Natlan, graffiti theme was fairly prevalent. You order through a vending machine after checking in, but there was someone there who stepped us through it.

A note on getting in: You don’t enter through the front of the building, you go around to the alley behind and go down a stairway to get in. This is where the check in desk is. You need to have your Naver reservation open for them on your phone when you get there, and hand the phone over for them to finish the checkin.

Natlan Graffiti mixed in with Sumeru stuff

Sumeru and Natlan with a dose of Wanderer drinking coffee, basically the theme at the moment.

I wasn’t very hungry so I only got a drink and desert. They were fine, but the little standees were very cute. Food was fine, the drinks were pretty good.

This blue drink was fairly good, the waffle was a little tough but pretty tasty.

This drink was really good. I honestly don’t remember which one it was, but it was good.

Windows and Decoratoins

The windows are almost all covered in written messages. I think they’re all from guests. I didn’t add anything, but I saw another group doing so.

Window Drawings, mostly in Korean

Lots of very cute character drawings

It’s hard to take photos of this, I’m sorry

They had a birthday decoration setup on one of the floors.

I didn’t fully understand what was happening here, I think people were writing their own little notes and drawings, but I couldn’t actually figure it out

I didn’t take pictures, but they had a few claw machine style games set up here as well. I didn’t try them, but they had plushies.

Merch

They had a fair bit of merch you could buy, but it was focused on plastic sleeves and large acrylics. They also had some clothes, notebooks, and lots of keychains.

When checking out they gave us a postcard and a random plastic character card. I got Kachina. It’s the Blaze to Natlan image on the postcard.

I’m a Paimon fan, so I got the photo album from the latest event.

Paimon Photo Album, I had just done the event with Paimon’s album and needed this.

Overall it was really fun. They have lots of art on the walls (which I didn’t include here, I have some pictures of it if people are interested). It does require a tiny bit of work to get the reservation, but IMO worth it if you have a couple free hours.
