Regarding the program name only (not the UAP stories/database part), I have no idea why this would see the light of day.

As Elizondo said, SAPs have counterintelligence officers. A “parent” SAP like this would have a substantial counterintelligence element, especially if its profile included a broad counterintelligence function—for near-peer competitors, for nosey UAP investigators, or for, simply, anyone not-them.

The cost to reorganize the program after the name leaked would have justified all manner of intimidation and threats—unless the program somehow had a blank check and didn’t care about the cost! Perhaps the program would use this leak to its advantage, as an opportunity to reorganize under different authorities where we’re not currently looking.

And after publication, why wouldn’t the program impress upon its Three-Letter Agency friends or tentacles to scrub the article or coerce omission of the name a la Chris Sharp and his mention of NURO? Why would none of that happen?

This showing up in the press portrays that the counterintelligence element couldn’t prevent this or act on it quickly. I’m skeptical. Either this name is fiction that benefits the program, a weakness of the program or its nesting (which I doubt), or… this is real and someone is allowing it, for whatever reason. Given the small amount of information we have, there must be something I’m missing.
