We are excited to announce to the Minecraft community that we have two new wikis that have chosen to move away from Fandom: the Italian (Italiano) and the Dutch (Nederlands) wikis!

This means that we now have independent Minecraft Wikis in 14 languages:

As before, you can find links to the different language wikis near the top of the page you’re reading, as well as in the sidebar.

Check out the new wikis!

If you speak any of these languages, check these wikis out! Many of them are much smaller than the English version and would always be happy for new community members. We also have some more work-in-progress translations of the Minecraft Wiki, take a look at our translation project overview page for an overview of the currently ongoing translation projects.

How to help the wikis succeed

Of course, to succeed, the wikis need support from the entire community, just like the English wiki does.

We heavily recommend using the Indie Wiki Buddy extension if you want to get redirected to the new Minecraft Wikis more easily! It also hides Fandom search results on Google and other search engines, and provides links to our new wikis instead.

Here are some more ways in which how you can help out the new language wikis:

  • Spread the word! Tell your friends that the they have moved to a new place!
  • Don’t click on Fandom links. In search results, always pick the minecraft.wiki links instead of Fandom ones. This tells Google and other search engines which site is better for users.
  • Don’t use the old domains. Change any existing URLs for these languages (“.minecraftwiki.net”, “minecraft-.gamepedia.com”, “.minecraft.wikia.com”, or “minecraft.fandom.com/”) to .minecraft.wiki – this helps us become more established and show up higher in search results.
