Original Title: Scientists report a bioplastic that could replace strofoam. Over a 36-week-long test, the foam version of a bioplastic cellulose diacetate (CDA) lost about 70 percent of its original mass, while the styrofoam showed zero degradation. The degradation rate is fastest of any plastic reported in ocean.
