I wanted to share with you all this plugin I just finished: FOCUS.nvim. It’s a fork of Zen Mode by Folke. I wanted to keep the simplicity and snappiness of Zen Mode, but I wanted some features from True Zen. It seems True Zen isn’t really maintained that much and I had some issues with trying to run it anyways. Because FOCUS.nvim makes some more opinionated changes to Zen Mode I figured it would be better to simply fork it.

Here’s an overview of the features:

  • 3 modes: Focus, Zen, Narrow
    • Focus mode: The original Zen Mode look from Folke’s Zen Mode
    • Zen: hides statusline, statuscolumn, and diagnostics
    • Narrow: a feature from True Zen which uses folds to let you narrow your focus to a smaller section of code
  • Any combination of the 3 modes can be activated at one time
  • Some outside plugin support (e.g. tmux)
  • super configurable as to what options/settings are disabled within Zen or Focus modes
  • updated the deprecated API within Zen Mode

Feedback is welcome. Cheers!
