I’ve seen a lot of people saying gleba is a pain in the ass and there are a ton of memes about gleba, but out of the three inner planets (I’m not at aquilo yet) I think I’ve been enjoying gleba the most. I think it’s partially because I’ve played a lot of modded content so I’m fairly comfortable with the core of the game, but I think gleba is a really fresh (pun not intended, but it works?) challenge

One thing that I really appreciate about space age is compared to the base game circuits seem a lot more valuable more of a necessity rather than a nice to have, and I think especially in gleba. I’m checking the belt that has my fruits coming into the factory and turning on and off agricultural towers to try to match the supply with the demand only harvesting when demand is outpacing supply. I’m turning on and off machines to match the demand that I’m putting on them, not letting belts stall to prevent spoilage. In fact I actually removed my spoilage to nutrients assembler because I wasn’t producing enough spoilage to keep up with running it.

I feel like I’ve been using a lot of the tricks I’ve accumulated over the years of playing this game. It’s been a blast doing incremental improvements to increase the freshness of the science being exported to nauvis and it’s been a while since I’ve felt this engaged with factorio.

Anyone else here really enjoying gleba?
