Hey there

I’m not an UFO guy and I don’t particularly believe aliens are visiting Earth, but I thought you people might find this interesting.

Operação Prato was maybe the largest mass sighting in Brazil. During the '70s lots of people in the countryside of Pará state reported lights that followed them and attacked them, leaving marks on their skin. Some people were hospitalized and a woman even had a miscarriage after an attack - and her dog supposedly died trying to protect her. The victims often claimed that those lights were after their blood.

The airforce have sent a few people to this area, and their primary task was to tranquilize the population. I don’t know if they ever found anything, as the episodes of this podcast are still being released.

Mind you, the place where all of this happened is in the middle of the Amazon jungle and it wasn’t hugely populated. While some people claim this was all done by aliens, others believe the lights were caused by a foreign country (most likely the US) testing Brazil’s readiness or their own aircrafts, while the feeling of being attacked was caused by mental distress.

Eighter way, the people responsible for this podcast have gone to that isolated area and talked with people who are still alive and who have experienced it. The podcast is obviously in Portuguese, but I share this hoping that someone knows a way (maybe an app? I don’t know) to translate it or maybe generate automatic subtitles in English for those who don’t speak the language.

I hope those of you who are able to listen to it can enjoy it! I know I’m liking it even though I’m a skeptic. ;)
