I needed a new spot for my PlayStation since it didn’t have a place in the living room due to lack of use—but I couldn’t quite part with it, so I needed a way to integrate it into my desk setup without it being in the way for the 80% of the time when I realistically won’t use it.The result was a quick search online; finding no suitable solution, I quickly designed and installed something myself. Four easy-to-print mounts, and the PlayStation can simply slide in. There’s an 8mm air gap above the PlayStation to allow heat to dissipate, and side openings have also been left free. My design is tailored for SPAX screws 3x20 with flat heads (8mm diameter), though I think other screws should also work here. To ensure the filament can withstand the heat, I made the construction a bit more robust and gave the profile 6 wall lines. I printed it with Extrudr Greentec Pro CF (Link to extrudr), which handles higher temperatures well. (Tip: avoid printing with PLA; I’d worry it would soften if the PlayStation gets warm.) Enjoy!
