I am considering buying a weather station such as Ecowitt or Tempest for my backyard (grass, flower bed and vegetable bed) but not fully convinced of benefits.

What are the benefits of having a weather station connected to HA? What are your best automation’s using this data that you could not do with general weather forecast?

Also, how does the hardware stands on cold temperatures? Around -20C on extreme days.
