…please support smaller, independent, foreign films when they play in Fort Collins. It gets tiring to have to drive to Denver to see highly-acclaimed movies on the big screen. When I hear people complain about ‘movies these days…’ I’m guessing they’re talking about the stuff from Marvel or starring the Rock.

I know everyone is busy, so here’s a list of some non-mainstream movies currently playing in town with critical acclaim with a link to critics reviews:

-Small Things Like These: playing at the Harmony Cinemark. Stars Oscar winner Cillian Murphy. Unsure if it will play after Thursday since that theater is slow updating their calendar. A character-driven drama about living in an area run by the church. It’s a quiet film, but wonderful.

-Anora: playing at Harmony Cinemark and the Lyric. Opens Friday at the Bistro. Winner of this year’s Palme d’Or at Cannes. A wild, crazy ride of a film.

-Memoir of a Snail: playing at the Lyric.

-Blitz: playing at Harmony Cinemark and starring Soairse Ronan. As the title suggests, set in London during World War II.

Thanks for reading. I hope to see you at the movies. 🍿🎥🍿🎞️
