Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE gifting people something I have stitched for them but there have been too many times were I’ve not made progress quickly enough on a piece and then the deadline I have set for myself (usually a birthday or Christmas, or even Halloween this year for ornaments for myself) comes up all of a sudden and I have no choice but to monogamously stitch on that one piece until it’s done.
I have so many fun kits I want to start and other pieces I could be making progress on but for the past month I’ve had to work on a piece for a Christmas gift. I actually hate working on it now but I’m determined to gift it this year. Turns a fun hobby into a chore and I am sick of it being this way.
How do you manage this? I am not typically a monogamous stitcher, there are pieces I work on for other people that I don’t particularly care for personally but they still need worked on. Motivation is so hard to come by until it’s suddenly coming up to the deadline! Any tips? :(
