So I was doing C&J today at gym and the lady came and told me to stop dropping the weight.

So last time they told me this was like 5 months ago but when I go heavy and try control the weight down it fucks my shoulder up because it like yanks it because the weight is so heavy so I was like fuck that.

So I said to her that I’m not like slamming the weight down but I have to drop it if it’s really heavy and above my head or I’m going to injure myself, and I’m doing it on the platform with the rubber weights.

But she said that doing that damages the bar. Which is ironic because like 6 of the 8 bars are BENT and basically unusable from people overloading them. So they don’t stop people from doing something which ACTUALLY damages the bar but they stop me?

I used to do crossfit and the people would literally throw the fucking bar down…

So I wanna argue with them but I need to get my facts straight first, so does dropping a loaded bar, on the platform, with rubber weights, damage the bar?
