I just closed on 75 unorganized acres with full rights, nearly fully treed with ~30 year old growth, two deep ponds and a creek, surrounded on all 4 sides by crown land, road easement access about 6km off the highway, 20 mins from the closest small city with a hospital and all other amenities.

I don’t know if I will ever get past the disbelief stage that I. Own. Land. And quite a lot of it… I never thought I would be able to. I’m sitting here in actual shock right now and just wanting to express my happiness somewhere. I’ll be heading up there in the spring to spend 3 seasons getting to know the land and planning my layout, and likely will start my cabin build in spring 2026. What the fuck man I’m a landowner and I am actually taking a shot at this off grid thing I’ve been wanting to do for years.

I’m ecstatic. I’m nervous. I’m single lmao. But goddamn I am content. I didn’t really have any questions or anything just wanted to say I fuckin’ made it and Merry Christmas.
