Just did my first distro hop, after being tired of OpenSUSE not updating Nvidia drivers on their rolling release. I mean, they’re still on 550! On a rolling release! D=

AND HOLY SH!T, is this system smooth.

The live USB installer was delightfully fast and easy, dnf is blazing fast, the packages (at least the ones I use) are very up-to-date, the Nvidia driver installation was brain-dead easy, and best of all, I’m loving how many external software sources explicitly support fedora, I didn’t need to compile anything from source yet, thank god.

I’ll still take a while to get used to gnome, as my first experience was KDE, but so far, so good.

All in all, I set up my system up for use in less than 2 hours.

I think I’ll be staying here for a while.
