I’ve flown 5 long haul flights over the past year for work, and on 4 of those trips the electronic snacks/drinks ordering menu for the flight “wasn’t working” for some reason.

Seems like a suspiciously high rate of failure for such a basic electronic ordering system. Normally I’d ignore it but it happens so often that it’s making me think AirNZ or at least the stewards are turning it off to cut costs or make their job easier.

As a substitute the air crew say that you can head to the galley area on the plane to request food/drinks but that’s not a great solution because if you aren’t on an aisle seat you won’t be able to get past others once they are asleep.

The rate of failure is making me think that it’s happening on purpose so people like me can’t be annoying and order a beer constantly.

Any aircrew wanna answer this question?
