I was tired of always having to look up a game’s appid to find it’s prefix, so I wrote a small python script to scan through your steam install, and create a symbolic link to all of your games’ prefixes.

It works by scanning your entire home directory looking for your steam install, if multiple are detected it will ask you which one you want to use (or all of them). Then it will create a symbolic link to the game’s prefix, named after the game instead of the appid.
