For us we have a few examples (thankfully none recently at HC) but I’m sure USC and Oklahoma fans can sympathize that Alex Grinch was a God damn cancer on our staff in 2018. Schiano got most of the blame for the defense’s problems that year but Grinch was actually the real problem with the unit behind the scenes since he A) didn’t recruit at all, B) was pissed that he wasn’t calling the defense on his own as Urban initially promised due to Schiano losing out on the Tennessee job last minute, and C) was not on the same page at all with Schiano regarding the scheme which is why I hate the co-coordinator system to this day.
