I took everyone’s advice and cut contact. I didn’t say anything. And people were right, he did escalate. I did this last night, and as soon as he noticed he attempted to readd me on everything today and even made a new phone number to call and text me. He left me multiple voicemails. In them, he claims that he fell in love with me (we went on THREE dates, at this point we’ve known each for three weeks and didn’t talk for one of them), that he wants to die, that he lost everything, that he wants a chance to grow as a person, wants to treat me better, begs me to talk to him a LOT, that he felt stupid and he should have just moved on because he had 30 people trying to hit him up but that all he wanted was me. He asked me not to abandon him. He said it wasn’t fair because he gave me space and then I “threw it back in his face” and that he couldn’t believe I would do this and he feels so betrayed. He said he was working really hard on the problems I had brought up but couldn’t bring himself to say what I told him, that he assaulted me twice at my most vulnerable while I was asleep. I’m at a loss of what to do or say to him. I’m not sure if I should go to the police or not, I don’t want to wait until it escalated to go to the police but this also might be the end of it. But I did get him banned from bumble so hopefully he doesn’t do this to anyone else.
