I’m not normally a levelling, questing or explorer kind of player but GW2 hits different.

I am a wow player mainly and always blitz through content as fast as possible to get to the Mythic raids and get decent m+ score.

GW2 just plays so differently, I’m in Gendarran Fields now going back from doing the MSQ as I need to get to level 60 to progress so I go back and do the map completion stuff, and that’s cool because I need that for for legendaries right?

So then an event happens and I go cool lets do that real quick then a bunch of people show up, some guy has a commander tag, I followed him around the map and farmed events, dope. Felt fast as we just ported round the map doing the event paid. Events finished it felt awesome efficient and how it was organically introduced to me as a new player was cool.

Then I’m doing a jumping puzzle at Cornucopian Fields, I worked out you gotta run down the pipe then do a quick jump onto the roof but nope little duke onto the sticky outy bit, then onto the roof, made it first try, nice. There was another player up there chatted to him for a bit about them, had a laugh, we went separate ways, was very chill and wholesome. The jumping puzzles are pretty refreshing in GW2, some are super easy while others feel like you need to put a bit of thought into and they can be really creative.

The hearts I gel with that much, I’m not sure why some of them feel tedious sometimes, but then others can be really creative and enjoyable, tough one, not sure.

I ended up doing the heart in Ascalon Settlement again talking to npcs felt kinda boring and the arena fighting I felt overpowered, so fighting them wasn’t fun when you insta kill them.

Anyway I had a thought to zoom the camera in and feel like I was running in the settlement, did the heart then went to get the Vista, found my way up but saw some ruins, red the tablet and felt inclined to /kneel and the Lore. That felt cool but also weird… It felt like how I used to play games, slower, more immersed. Not had that feeling in a long time.
