Okay, some much needed context: this discussion has been ongoing for about a year, but is only getting media attention/outrage fuel now, for obvious reasons. The discussion apparently started because the daycare felt invoking the name of a child-victim of such a horrible atrocity when in the business of taking care of children wasn’t exactly the vibe they were going for. One person from the daycare was quoted as saying, “parents with a migration background don’t relate to Anne Frank.”
This wasn’t some ImMiGrANt-lEd SiEgE oN aNnE FraNkE, like this goddamn twitter post implies. That was one workers characterization of “immigrant families” sentiments. Who knows what the fuck that was based on, maybe just this one person’s opinion.
