I work as a contractor and was busy sorting out and cleaning up around the side of a house with an owner.

They handed me a big 20L barrel and asked me to dump it out over the back of the wall onto a large area of plants. Thinking it was some sort of plant fertilizer I went ahead and did as I was told. Soon after the whole area started smoking. I checked the container and it was hydrogen peroxide they used to use for the pool. For those who don’t know hydrogen peroxide when mixed with organic matter can quite easily combust. I ran and grabbed the hose and sprayed the area like crazy for the next 40 minutes until the smoke and vapors finally disappeared. I future, I won’t be blindly trusting others…

TL;DR poured hydrogen peroxide onto a bunch of folliage and caused a fire.
