Hey community of r/Roms, Crocdb dev here!
It’s been more than a year since I released Crocdb so I just wanted to inform you about the changes I’ve made to the website and its structure.
Many complained about stuff (downloads being slow, missing platforms, some games not playing…) so I did my best to please you. I want to present to you a fully rewritten version of Crocdb, with the same purpose as the old one, but a little better.
For those who are new to Crocdb, it’s basically a collection of rom links taken from various community-approved sources, made easily accessible thanks to a simple search system with the added ability to play some games directly in your browser (EmulatorJS).
The major features of this update are the Myrient links integration (has been allowed by them) and the API for developers. There are now even more platforms and the style of the website is changed a bit.
Keep in mind that I will continue to update the website in my free time so If you have suggestions don’t hesitate to let me know.
I want to thank all of the people behind the Roms community who take time and care to make roms available for everyone. Crocdb wouldn’t exist without them.
