I turned 21 recently and went to the bar for the first time. When I got there and saw the drink menu, I was kinda overwhelmed and had no idea what to order.

Based on what my friends told me, I ended up going with a classic gin and tonic. It ended up being pretty good, but I wonder if this is a common experience for people going to bars for the first time?
