In some other sports, players burst into the scene with top performances - only for opponents to uncover their weaknesses or limited skills, thus getting “found out”.
Could be a footballer who is a terrific dribbler but very one-footed, a wide receiver with blazing speed but limited route running abilities, or a basketball player with explosive power but terrible defending.
Some players rise to the challenge and expand their skill set while others never do and eventually become quite ineffective as opponents catch on. I’m sure baseball has similar examples - pitchers with a limited arsenal or hitters who just can’t hit certain pitches.
Any exemplary case studies you guys have in mind? Or guys who got found out and rebounded after learning how to counter?
