I just finished the book yesterday, the pages of the last few chapters still haven’t dried of my tears yet 😅 but I came on to here to snoop for reactions.

It seems the Volsung Fa reveal wasn’t as welcomed as I expected 🤔

When I read it, I loved the reveal. If you think about it, all the Obsidian cultures and ways were genetically bred and taught by Gold. Like back in Morning Star when Darrow and Mustang showed Sefi that Gold was not god.

So the jextaposition of Fá being a cultured, smart big dude that likes to wear silk kimonos added so much depth for me. I’ve seen the scary mighty warlord trope so many times and was getting bored of it.

But this dude just wants to do his job for his friend and then retire rich AF. And I can respect that.
