Why do people assume all autistic people are the same and that we are all childlike and harmless?

Lots of autistic men are really fucking perverted, some of us are downright sensitive entitled snowflakes, lots of us do drink, smoke and do drugs, and some of us are violent and end up in jail. Take a look at Jeffrey Dahmer, Nikolas Cruz, and Elliot Rodger. I’m not saying being autistic made them evil but the baggage that comes with it did influence what they did somewhat.

My coworkers treat me like a 10 year old boy even thought I’m a goddamn adult man, as soon as I give them a bit of attitude or sign of annoyance, they act so shocked and get pissed off. Because how dare the “Special kid” not act like a perfect little agreeable saint.

A regular NT man can crack a dirty or edgy joke and not get much flack, but if an autistic guy makes a dirty joke he’s automatically a weirdo, creep, serial killer, etc. It’s almost like for people to tolerate you, you HAVE to act like a perfect Angel who doesn’t complain or else you’ll get bullied more or punished more for being autistic. I’m Fucking tired of it.
