Hi, I am very frustrated by this and it seems extremely unfair.
I used the train to go from Copenhagen CPH airport to Malmö, and when I go to the railway, the train was already there and almost leaving. I ran and managed to enter while the train was already closing the doors, “what a relief, barely made it” I thought. So I found a place to sit, put my luggage in the proper place, sit, opened Skånetrafiken app and bought and activated the ticket.
A few minutes later a ticket inspector came and told me my ticket was not valid because I activated it a few minutes after the train’s departure time. It must have been what? 3 minutes? She then said she would fine me because of that and gave me a paper saying I need to pay 1500kr! That’s a lot of money for having done absolutely nothing wrong. I told her about what happened and that I would have missed the train had I stopped to buy the ticket before boarding. She didn’t really care. She even said “next time you don’t get in the train, let it go, and catch the next one”.
I already tried appealing to Skånetrafiken but they did not want to change anything. So now I have to pay this huge fee. Is there anything I can do about this?
