I was playing my [[Zedruu, the greathearted]] give away funny things / control deck in a mid-low power lobby. The game at that point had been going on for at around 70 or 80 minutes with a lot of back and forth between the other 3. I was colour screwed and had mulliganed down to 5. All I had really done all gone was cast a [[rhystic study]], [[howling mine]], and [[venser’s journal]]. My commander never got out.

I asked the player after me, if I did something funny would he not kill me for 2 turns and he said no, but he would guarantee one. So I used [[Cultural Exchange]] to swap two of his manadorks with a giant [[Skullbriar, The walking grave]] and [[Ghalta, Primal Hunger]]. This put him in a position to kill the entire table, as he had [[Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus]] [[Mirari’s Wake]] and others. So he did, he killed all three of us. In the moment I was understood, the game had been going on awhile and I had 30+ cards in my hand, but I also ONLY had rhystic study and lands at the time.

It was a low-mid power lobby, and I had board wipes and other things in my hand I could have played, but instead I did that because he said he wouldn’t kill me for one turn. On the other hand it was getting late, and was on spell table so he’ll never see us again. I feel for myself though, I would always honour deals because otherwise it ruins a big part of commander.
