I help Dad farm 1,700 acres and I financed a semi a few years ago to also drive truck OTR. I absolutely love my jobs, but I’m away from home quite often. You would think just having a phone would keep someone entertained, but trust me, it gets so old just aimlessly scrolling around on your phone.

For OTR trucking- It’s just so nice to be relaxing in the sleeper, or the hotel room, and playing a little TES:V or GTA V before going to bed. Unless there’s live NFL games on, I could careless about watching TV, especially at a motel lol.

When it comes to the farming side of things, I have a lot of downtime waiting in line to get on the scale and unloading the grain trailer. It’s just so nice being able to bring my Steam Deck along to keep myself entertained while I’m waiting in line.

I haven’t really made significant progress in any of the games I enjoy, but damn it’s nice just being able to put the SD in sleep mode and dealing with work… it also very much seems like this is a console that is more than fine with being forgotten about until it’s time for me to work too lol
