Original Title: TIL Blade Runner 2049 was not the first sequel to Blade Runner. Prior to this film, a 1998 box office bomb called Soldier was produced with the intention of being the sequel. Props from Blade Runner were used even though Soldier’s script had gone unproduced for over 15 years before filming began.
