After almost 2 years using Neovim, I realized that I learned a lot, but that I also followed the simple path of trying to install a plugin before looking for a built-in alternative. Or even for simpler things like f{char} and F{char} which I only learned about 3 weeks ago (and it has greatly improved my workflow).
As I was reviewing my configuration, I realized that maybe I had things that I could actually just stop using and try to configure something simpler and built-in.
After this brief explanation, I would like to ask you: which features do you think are, in general, replaced by extensions, not because they perhaps offer a superior experience, but just because it is the first option that comes to mind recommending or even use.
Disclaimer: this post was not made with the intention of diminishing the work of any Neovim extension developer.
