When I was a freshman in college, I lived in a notoriously haunted dorm that was basically a repurposed apartment building that was around 100 years old.

One night, after I laid down and closed my eyes to sleep, I was suddenly bombarded by black and white/off colored images that were most definitely someone else’s memories. (One I distinctly remember, was a young boy with swim goggles and pool floaties laughing and looking up at me). There was also this weird surge of energy I felt specifically in my ears.

Then, I was suddenly in my dorm room, but it looked entirely different to the way I had it and there was a portrait of a man that seemed to come alive and look back at me.

I was so overwhelmed and then when I opened my eyes, the man was standing over me at my bed side. He was hazy and transparent and then I physically felt and saw his energy flow into me and it felt like I was electrocuted, but in a good way, there was no pain just ENERGY. A lot of it.

I was so scared. For a full minute I thought I was possessed lol.

Can someone explain to me, what the hell happened?

And for context, I come from a long line of female fortune tellers and the spiritually sensitive (both of which i dont consider myself to be), but have never really experienced anything at this level before.
