I work fast food. Earlier this morning a guy had ordered a cup of coffee that he decided was too cold for his liking, so he asked me to microwave it. I obliged, took it into the back and put it on for 1 minute. I think the F-up happened because I didn’t take the lid off the cup. I was just meandering about doing something else while i waited for it to finish, but about midway through i start hearing this hiss/bubble noise. So I’m thinking “wtf?” but as it had already been a long shift with at least one other distinct F-up I didn’t think much of it. Probably one of the fry guys doing something. Then I noticed a dark brown liquid oozing out of the bottom of the microwave like some b-grade horror movie. I opened the microwave to the coffee apocalypse. I wiped it up with napkins, remade the customers coffee (same pot, same temperature as the one I blew up) and he seemed happy. TL;DR: don’t microwave coffee, kids
