Johnny’s theme never speaks in the first person because Johnny isn’t talking about himself, he’s talking about the mythical Johnny, cool guy who is envied and admired. That’s the mask he puts on, but while Goldlewis’s theme hints at how he secretly hates barking on demand like a dog metaphorically and wearing the “Aliens don’t exist, don’t be ridiculous” mask, Johnny doesn’t see himself as having anything to him but the mask he puts on. This is why there is no slower emotional moment like in Zato’s theme. That’s just not who Johnny is.
