Is New Zealand construction doomed ? On Friday we had 2 workmates leave for Aussie so one of the boys gave them a ring today asking how’s it going etc “yeh got a job already start next week blah blah” So Monday morning’s smoko topic of discussion was who’s jumping over Australia to get out of here so we done a poll out of the 30 of us in the canteen 21 said they were thinking of going even a few Filipinos piped up and said once they’ve got there citizenship there off now I’m kinda thinking of of heading over there as soon as possible ! Has anyone ever made the move there and regretted ? All I ever hear is how good it is over there for tradies and it’s rather worrying if say 7/10 younger tradies are contemplating going over not sure how that’s going to leave the standard of construction in Nz
