Hi! New to Reddit but I wanted to see what 20-50 year old women are paying for their hair in our area.

I own a trendy salon specializing in high end blonding/balayage/hair extensions in Old Town and with this economy the prices we were charging without issue not even a year ago for our work seem to be less attainable for many guests even though satisfaction with their services is not an issue.

Unfortunately our landlords increased our already high rent by 20% (along with over 100% increase to some product cost) and typically the solution would be to increase our prices as well, but since we are already noticing people push their appointments longer and switch to lower maintenance looks I don’t see a price increase being super helpful to keeping business flowing so instead we are going to try to attract more new customers at a more competitive price.

Anyway, my question is for those of you who are receiving balayage/lived in color /blonding services every 8-14 weeks, what price point is a realistic yet affordable price for you? What motivates you to schedule with one salon vs another?? Pricing vs skill or a good combo of the both? Please share anything that comes to mind!

Just looking for some customer perspective here as we try to adjust to the times and keep our small business pushing forward through this brutal inflation!!

Thanks in advance for your feedback :)
