Actually I just found out about the nostr protocol and the app Amethyst. Technically it’s exactly what I was imagining since a long time, it just works and with all the Reddit and Twitter api trouble, I suggest trying it out like I do right now. At the moment to many people there seem to just talk about Bitcoin and stuff, so what the platform needs is more interesting and awesome people. Amethyst itself is more like Twitter than Reddit, but I think the underlying protocol could also be used for Reddit like clients in the future (there are already other clients, I tried Amethyst because it’s on F-droid).
