I’ve seen so many great shows in 2023, past and currently airing and I just had to talk about this one. I watched it between last night and today.

It’s almost hard to explain what your first impression of this show is in contrast to what you feel after the stops are pulled out later on. If had to say, maybe around the latter third where you find out why Yuzuru is in the afterlife.

Finding meaning in your life, death and the afterlife are such delicate topics in general and this anime represents them beautifully IMHO.

This show also does such a good job at reminding you to be thankful for what you have in life and that there is likely always someone less fortunate than yourself who wasn’t able to live the same kind of life.

There are a lot of moments that carry these ideals strongly, such as learning about Yuzuru’s selflessness with both his sister and then survivors of the accident even in the face of death, Yui’s struggles with sudden paralysis in life and having Hinata accept her as she was, Ayato’s peace because he had finally felt accepted/good enough, then finally learning the truth between Kanade and Yuzuru at the end.

This show was just absolutely packed with relatable human emotion.

Just wanted to share my experience with it and now I’m off to see what’s next.
