Hi so, I am going on holiday with someone in Venice next year and I have always wanted to try touring! So I thought, why not go there for a week before and tour a little.

Has anyone been near Venice for touring? I was looking at starting at Florence but not sure if thats too much? But also, I don’t know that I will be able to get my touring bike in time so was thinking I might just buy a bike there and then take it home after instead(of cycle to work scheme UK).

Is there anywhere to get a touring bike in Florence or anywhere near Venice thats good?

Basically, can I cycle from Florence to Venice or anywhere near Venice to Venice in a week and get a bike to do it too while there?
